Saint Colomban France remembers B-17 Crew

On 4-July-2004, the people of Saint Colomban erected a memorial to the downed aircraft and held three days of events around the dedication. The following is a recounting of the three emotion-filled days attended by family members of two of the downed B-17 crewmen.

3-July-2004 - Day 1
At 11 AM we attend a welcome reception at the Saint Colomban Hôtel de Ville or town hall where we are exuberantly and warmly welcomed by Maire (Mayor) Jean Luc Gauthier via translations by Flora Douville...
